June 25th: Dye Day Details here. NOTE: this is the FOURTH Saturday of the month instead of our usual third Saturday meeting day. July 9th: Newburg Rural Life Festival - 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. (second Saturday of the month) Set-up BEFORE 9:00 AM. RAIN or SHINE! Guild members will demonstrate various fiber arts. Festival will provide Guild members with meal tickets. Remember to bring your own chair. Aug. 20th: Annual Guild Picnic & Swap or Sale at the home of Kathy Christman - 9:00 AM. Bring food to share and any fiber, yarn, equipment, books, etc., that you wish to give away or sell. Aug. 27th: Shippensburg Corn Festival Guild will demonstrate. Details to follow. Sept. 10-11: Endless Mountain Fiber Festival Sept. 16th & 17th: Knitters' Day Out Sept. 17th: Worldwide Spin in Public Day Sept. 17th: Meeting at the Shippensburg Library Annex - 10:00 AM. Sept. 24th & 25th: Shenandoah Fiber Festival in Berryville, VA. Oct. 15th & 16th: NY Sheep & Wool Festival Oct. 15th: Meeting at the Shippensburg Library Annex - 10:00 AM. Bring your wheel or current fiber project and enjoy time with Nov. 19th: Meeting to be held at the home of Candy Knerr - 10:00 AM. Project to be determined. Show and tell your fabulous finds from the New York Sheep & Wool Festival. Dec. 3rd: Annual Christmas Luncheon at CJ's PUB & GRILL - 10:00 AM-1:00 PM. (Changed to the first Saturday to allow more members to participate.) Christmas ornament swap, Secret Santa Gift Swap. Remember to bring your preemie hats, or hats, mittens and scarves for older children to contribute to our 2016 Charity Project.

Jan. 9th-16th: PA FARM SHOW "SHEEP TO SHAWL" competition - Wednesday, Jan. 13th, 3:00 pm (Youth "Fleece to Shawl" competition - 10:00 am) Jan. 16th: 2016 Kick-Off Meeting at the Shippensburg Library Annex. We will be planning our meetings for 2016, so come with your suggestions. Dues of $12 due. Feb. 20th: Meeting at the Shippensburg Library Annex - 10:00 AM. Small weaving. We will be discussing how portable weaving on small looms can be. Bring any small weaving loom you have and yarn with which to weave. Feb. 27th: Keystone Lace Guild's "Gathering of the Guilds" South Cumberland Fiber Guild members will be demonstrating and displaying items that showcase the many fiber crafts our Guild members enjoy. Contact Dottie Kurtz for further information. Mar. 19th: Meeting at the Shippensburg Library Annex - 10:00 AM. Rebecca will be teaching us how to weave a heart on a styrofoam base. You should bring sock weight yarn (your choice of color) and at least 34 pins. The shorter pins will work best. Apr. 16th: Meeting at the Shippensburg Library Annex - 10:00 AM. Bring your wheel or current fiber project and enjoy time with your fiber friends. May 7th & 8th: MD Sheep & Wool Festival May 21st: CHANGE: Meeting at the Shippensburg Library Annex- 10:00 AM. Pam is unable to host and teach this month. "Show and tell" of treasures you found at the MD Sheep and Wool Festival. Also, sale of Nellice Gillespie's fiber-related items and basket- making supplies at Dottie's home following the meeting. June 4th: Newville Rural Life Festival at the Newville Church of God - 9:00 AM-2:00 PM June 18th: World Knit in Public Day. The idea behind this is to let the world know that - knitting is still alive and popular!
