If you plan to weave a rug, remember to buy a hula hoop this summmer. Oct. 18: Meeting at the Library Annex-10:00 AM Dottie Kurtz will teach Shadow Knitting. Oct. 18 & 19: New York Sheep & Wool Festival Nov. 15: Meeting at the Library Annex-10:00 AM At the request of Guild members, Rebecca will again teach tatting. Dec. 13: Annual Christmas Luncheon & Challenge Exchange at the Shippensburg Library Annex-10:00 AM Annual membership dues of $12 will be collected. Details to follow.
Jan. 4th - 11th: PA FARM SHOW "SHEEP TO SHAWL" competition - Wednesday, Jan. 8th Jan. 18th: Meeting at the Library Annex - 10:00 AM "Tech Savvy with the Fiber Arts" - learn how to navigate Ravelry and Etsy. We will also be planning our meetings for 2014, so come with your suggestions. Dues of $12 due. Feb. 15: Meeting at the Library Annex-10:00 AM Join other Guild members for our regular monthly meeting and take time to relax, spin, knit, crochet, etc. while we catch up on the latest news. Feb. 22: Keystone Lace Guild's "Gathering of the Guilds" South Cumberland Fiber Guild members will be demonstrating and displaying items that showcase the many fiber crafts our Guild members enjoy. Contact March 15: Meeting at the Library Annex-10:00 AM Guild members will be working on our service project for 2014 - knitting/crocheting preemie hats to be donated to local hospitals. April 5: Shearing of alpacas at Hummingbrook Farm, home of Pam Knepper. April 19: Meeting at the Library Annex-10:00 AM Join other Guild members for our regular monthly meeting. Bring your wheel, knitting, crocheting or other fiber- related project and relax with your guild friends. May 3 & 4: Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival

AM. Caroline's husband, Kenelm, will demonstrate the preparation of flax so it can be spun, starting at 11:00 AM. He has all the equipment to do this. Caroline will then demonstrate the spinning of flax. Bring a bag lunch or you can plan to go into Newburg and get a fresh sandwich or a pizza to share. Bring a chair (just to be sure there are enough). May 31: Guild members will demonstrate at the Newville Church of God Rural Life Festival. Details to follow. June 14: Annual Spinning Seminar at The Mannings June 21: Dye Day at the home of Diane Ocker. Details can be found here. July 12: Newburg Rural Life Festival - 9:00 AM-4:00 PM Guild members will demonstrate various fiber arts. Festival will provide Guild members with meal tickets. Remember to bring your own chair. Aug. 2: Annual Knit-In at The Mannings Aug. 16: Annual Guild Picnic & Swap: The picnic will start at 10:00 AM, at the home of Pam Nelson. Bring food to share and any fiber, yarn, equipment, books, etc., that you wish to give away or sell. Aug. 30: Shippensburg Corn Festival. Guild will demonstrate. Details to follow.
